Installing a water pump in your car

As with any repair or maintenance, if the water pump replaced in your car, your safety is very important. Before starting, make sure you have the negative battery cable from the battery, the engine is off and the engine is cold. Removing the old water pump is the first step to change. Begin to drain fluid from the radiator to the engine block and clean drip trays. Set aside where no spill. Then you have to remove the fan and fan clutch. You need to check every corner or replace damaged or if need be. Depending on the vehicle, there may be other parts that might prevent access to the water pump. In most cases, not removed altogether from the side. Once you move out of your way, you can begin to remove all connections and hoses to pump water from the thread. Then removed the screw, remove and clean the mounting surface thread the machine.

Now you can install your new water pump. Start lining both sides of the gasket with a light sealer and then put the gasket on the engine. Then cover the screw thread screw in the refrigerator. Run the car until the engine reaches normal operating temperature to help clarify one of the connected system. When finished, fill the radiator and replace the cap.

Then take your car for a test drive. This helps to ensure that everything is working properly and the coolant level is staying the required limits.
